HURRICANES KATRINA AND RITA: The members in Lake Charles, LA, were OK and
helping with the evacuees after Katrina when we got hit by Rita. One of our members
has been displaced because of the damage to his house. Others are living in portions of
their houses with sections tarped off due to damage. One member had just moved into a
new house, and that house was leveled to the slab. They hadn't sold their old home yet
and at least have a place to stay, but all of their furniture and belongings were lost with
the new house.
