2005 CPI of Alabama and Mississippi Conference
Credit Professionals International of Alabama and Mississippi met
Saturday, November 19, 2005 at the Pearl River Resort in Choctow, MS.
CPI of Jackson, MS, hosted the event. Seventeen members attended
from Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
Mississippi President Bonnie Burns gave the official welcome, and
Alabama President Pat Porter responded. Jackson President and
acting Chaplain Bettie Martin gave the invocation, and Past International
President Nona Ellzey led the creed.
The workshop was facilitated by Carol Neal, Immediate Past
International President, from CPI of Atlanta, GA. The topic was
"Synergy", an all day exercise in team dynamics which included team
building, decision making, and True Colors personality typing, ending
with a brainstorming session in the afternoon.
District President Esther Brinkley from Business Professionals of the
Triad, NC, was the guest of honor and featured speaker at the
luncheon. CPI of Alabama held its business meeting in the afternoon.
Officers for both states will stay the same for 2005-2006.
CPI of Alabama will host next year's event, time and location to be
announced later.
