Credit Professionals International of District III & IV
DISTRICT CONFERENCE REPORT - "Welcome to Wonderland"
The 73rd Annual District III & IV Conference, hosted by CPI of Atlanta, GA, was held April 22-25, 2010, at the
Marriott Perimeter in Atlanta, GA. President Michele Rocher presided.
The trip with Alice to Wonderland in Atlanta, GA was amazing. Everyone enjoyed the excellent speakers
and were very motivated by first speaker Andy Lowe with Sales Partners. His workshop on "Little Voice
Mastery" ended with everyone giving high fives and telling friends how awesome they were. Andy also
gave away a one day seminar with his company in Atlanta which was won by Diane Gallimore. Mike Hill
with IDT Consultants spoke on "Identity Theft, Red Flags and Your Business". The workshops ended with
Gail Dunn and Sherry Richardson teaching us "Car Smarts".
All attendees enjoyed the Career Club Luncheon at "The Mad Hatter's Tea Party" and received a tea cup
and saucer. Then all the tea pots were given as door prizes. Thanks to Career Club President, Carol
Neal, Anne Hammond and the Atlanta association for the lovely tea party. Charlotte Maness was installed
as Career Club President and Nona Ellzey as Secretary by Past International President Esther Brinkley.
The Walk A Thon was held after the Business Meetings. We met President Michele for "The Queen's
Croquet Ground" and members played croquet. We raised $1004 from the croquet, book sales, and
contributions from the states plus $361 that had already been sent from NC to International. With
matching gifts from Rhonda McKinney and Equifax, the total contributions of $2,369 from CPI of
District 3 & 4 will be sent to International for the 2010 Walk A Thon.
Outgoing President Michele was honored with a reception where we learned "Who Stole the Queen's
Tarts?" She was showered with gifts and congratulations on a job well done.
International President, Jean Jervis was honored at the States Breakfast on Saturday Morning with pomp
and circumstance. It was raining outside and evidently Jean thought it was going to rain inside because
she raised her umbrella at the head table for protection.(Ha Ha) Fun was had by all and great states door
prizes were presented and given away.
The conference concluded on Saturday Night with the Installation and Awards Banquet. Charlotte Maness,
Past International President, installed the following officers assisted by International President, Jean
Jervis using the theme "Making A Difference". Eva Nifong, President, Rhonda McKinney, Vice President,
