Lone Star Council District VIII Meeting

Attendees:

Lee Ann Seale, Maria Trevino, Pat Evans, Linda Simbeck, Kathleen Dube, Robyn Smoot, Phyllis Gregory, and Marty Reyes (Rex Somerville and Dutchie Garza via conference call)

 

The conference will be held at SACU in the 4^th floor Training Room West on April 16, 2010.

Last year’s agenda will be followed with changes to the date, speakers and other minor changes

Pat Evans will ask for the Bios of the speakers and notify them of the time

Pat Evans reported lunch for last year’s conference totaled $180.16 for 28 attendees

Registration fees for last year’s conference was $20.00 for members and $25.00 for non-members; because of rate increases a decision was made to change the fee to $30.00 for members and $35.00 for non-members

Pat Evans made a motion to change the registration fee, Linda Simbeck 2^nd the motion, motion carried

Maria Trevino will order the gift cards

Lee Ann Seale to get the plaque for the out-going President

Phyllis Gregory will make calls to get options and order lunch for the conference

Pat Evans and Linda Simbeck will send out invitations for the conference

Kathleen Dube will take the reservation calls

Pat Evans will give speaker topics to Maria Trevino for the creation of the invitation

Pat Evans will submit the invitation for SACU Message of the Day

Dutchie Garza will send email to membership requesting each member to bring door prizes and giveaways for approximately 30 attendees; these are to be sent to Maria Trevino or taken to the March General Meeting on March 17, 2010

Rex Somerville will send out a reminder email to RSVP to Pat Evans for General Meeting on Wednesday, March 17, 2010

Pat Evans and Lee Ann Seale have tickets for door prizes

Linda Simbeck and Lee Ann Seale to work on centerpieces for the tables

Pat Evans will email SACU maintenance for Podium, Flag and trash cans

Nominees were selected and each nominee agreed to serve; Rex Somerville for President, Maria Trevino for V. President, Lee Ann Seale for Treasurer and Dutchie Garza for Secretary. Electronic information will be sent to members asking for more nominees and will also be asked at the next General Meeting, March 17, 2010.

Linda Simbeck and Dutchie Garza will work on binders

Linda Simbeck and Lee Ann Seale will get the table cloths

Marty Reyes will write the installation speech and Dutchie will perform the actual installation

Rex Somerville will send email regarding his theme to Linda Simbeck and Lee Ann Seale

 

It was mentioned that CPI of the Year nominees would be needed by next week (03/15-19) and Boss of the Year by October 2010

Pat Evans will provide nomination forms to membership for nominating CPI of the Year

Lee Ann Seale and Robyn Smoot will get the breakfast and afternoon snacks

 

 

Linda Simbeck , Pat Evans and Lee Ann Seale will work on the Jeopardy Game for the March 17^th General Meeting
