Membership in Credit Professionals International is open to anyone employed in the credit or financial industry. Since 1930, CPI has provided education, networking and professional development opportunities.

You should join CPI if you are involved in:

  • Collections                       
  • Credit Counseling
  • Credit Reporting              
  • Credit Granting
  • Any person working in business where credit is part of the business

In any of these industries:

  • Banking, credit union or other financial institutions
  • Auto sales and/or service
  • Insurance
  • Financial planning
  • Health care
  • Consumer or commercial collections
  • Credit Bureaus
  • Credit Card Issuers
  • Retail
  • Telecommunications
  • Utilities
  • Any other industry dealing with credit

There are three types of membership in CPI::
  • Local Association Membership: If there is a local association in your area, you can can join through them. Dues are dependant on how much the local association and district charge plus $80 for International Dues.  Your membership includes participation in the Local & Districts, the biannual magazine, quarterly newsletter, Pre- and post-conference capsules and conference information, access to Any CPI Meetings, Seminars & Conferences & complete access to all pages of the website
  • Member-At-Large: If you are a former member of CPI, but are no longer in an area with a local association, you can become an International member for $100 per year. Your membership includes the biannual magazine, quarterly newsletter, Pre- and post-conference capsules and conference information, access to Any CPI Meetings, Seminars & Conferences & complete access to all pages of the website.
  • Direct Members: If there is no local association in your area,, you can become a direct member for $120 per year. Your membership includes the biannual magazine, quarterly newsletter, Pre- and post-conference capsules, conference information and the Membership Directory, access to Any CPI Meetings, Seminars & Conferences & complete access to all pages of the website.
